EVENTS:

Students did a wonderful job on their MAPS testing. Thank you for your support. I am proud of their accomplishments. I will be baking brownies very soon.

PARENTS- Thank you for coming in for conferences. I appreciate your flexible and involvement.

The last weeks have been busy with notes home and responding with calls to the numerous events.

Last week’s field trip to the Planetarium was successful and a wonderful way to end our inquiry on space. Field day and High Interest Day was also full of positive energy.

 ZOO FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIPS went home last Friday and are due this week. We would love to have Many Chaperones if you are available.

MATH:

·        Measuring temperature, time, elapse time, weight in ounces, pounds, and tons

·        Ask your child about Mr. Gallon Man

 Please look at our Mitchell Blog under library to find many web sites that focus on math skills.

READING: 

·         Infer meaning to teach how to use context clues and text evidence to understand new concepts and vocabulary.

·          Determine Importance by finding main ideas and detailed facts.

WRITING:

  • Working on three paragraph informational paper on space.
  • Continue to edit and revise our work.

INQUIRY:

  • Students exploring animals.
